Welcome to Hooker Hill Rug Retreat (HHRR)!
Nestled in the picturesque foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, The Wool Poppies (ATHA Central California Traditional Rug Hookers, Chapter #57) proudly present the return of Hooker Hill Rug Retreat—back and better than ever after a brief hiatus!
What began as a small gathering of passionate rug hookers seeking a local retreat has blossomed into a cherished event in the rug hooking community. Our shared love for the art of traditional rug hooking drives our mission to bring world-class instructors to California, offering you the opportunity to expand your skills, ignite your creativity, and immerse yourself in a fun, supportive environment. Each day, after hours of learning and creating, we gather for a 5pm wine social on the patio. This is a time for our two classes to come together, swap stories, and celebrate the bonds we share. At Hooker Hill Rug Retreat, we are not just students—we are a family, connected by our craft, united in our love of learning, and uplifted by a sense of belonging.
Join us for an unforgettable experience where tradition, creativity, and camaraderie merge in the heart of nature. Whether you're a seasoned rug hooker or new to the craft, you'll find a welcoming community here ready to learn and grow together.
