Welcome to Hooker Hill Rug Retreat 2027
Set in the beautiful Sierra Nevada foothills, Hooker Hill Rug Retreat brings rug hookers together for learning, creativity, and connection.
We believe rug hooking is more than a craft—it's an art form that blends color, texture, design, and storytelling. Our goal is to provide exceptional learning opportunities by bringing outstanding instructors to the West Coast and creating an environment where creativity can flourish.
One of Hooker Hill's most cherished traditions is our wine social on the patio following classes each day. Before dinner, participants gather to exchange ideas, celebrate accomplishments, renew friendships, and welcome new ones as the two classes come together in community.
Whether you're attending for the first time or returning as a longtime friend, you'll find inspiration in the instruction, encouragement in the community, and joy in the shared experience of creating with fellow rug hookers.
Hooker Hill Rug Retreat is where creativity thrives, friendships grow, and lasting memories are made—one loop at a time.
Location
Hooker Hill Rug Retreat is hosted at the Episcopal Conference Center Oakhurst (ECCO), a peaceful lakeside retreat in the Sierra Nevada foothills, just 12 miles from Yosemite National Park's South Entrance. With comfortable lodging, delicious meals, and classroom spaces overlooking the lake, ECCO provides the perfect setting to learn, create, and relax.
Dates
The retreat begins with check-in at 4:30 PM on Sunday, June 13, and concludes after breakfast on Thursday, June 17, 2027.
